Carnauba Wax contains fatty acids, fatty alcohol, hydrocarbons and cinnamic acid. Cinnamic acid is an antioxidant and helps maintain the life of paint.
Carnauba wax is known as the "Queen of Waxes". It is derived from the leaves of carnuaba palm trees found in northeastern Brazil. It usually comes in the form of hard, yellow flakes. The wax is beaten off the palm leaves after they are harvested.
AutoGuard Wax is a waterless cleaner/wax that contains both carnuaba, and montan waxes that leave your vehicle with a hard, glossy, long-lasting shine.
Montan wax is a hard wax that is extracted from lignite, or brown coal. It was used to make the old 78 rpm phonograph records. Montan wax was one of the main ingredients in carbon paper that was used to make copies of letters and documents before typewriters were replaced by computers.
